A new ambulance with an integrated box body was delivered to La Chaux de Fonds in western Switzerland in the canton of Neuchâtel last week.
A Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 519 CDI 4x4 chassis with a gross vehicle weight of 5 tons, a wheelbase of 3,665 millimeters and an engine output of up to 140 kW (190 hp) serves as the basis for this tailor-made emergency vehicle.

Thanks to extensive special LED-based signaling technology, this vehicle is perceived and recognized in traffic at an early stage.
In addition to a light bar in the front and an additional one above the rear of the vehicle, side flashers, as well as front flashers in the radiator grille and intersection flashers, ensure optimal protection of the incident even in poor visibility and darkness.
Switchable scene lights illuminate the area optimally.
In addition to the Hänsch 624 acoustic tone sequence system, a Martin compressor system with four fanfares helps make the rescue workers' work even safer.
The vehicles are also an eye-catcher from the outside thanks to their eye-catching stickers and color schemes. The vehicle is wrapped with high-quality film.

This ambulance is equipped with a Stryker Power-LOAD cot. The Power-LOAD fastening system is not only easy on the back, but also provides additional safety for staff and patients, as the cot is electrically supported during the entire loading and unloading process. This reduces the risk of injury when loading and unloading the cot.

A side bench not only offers space for two people, but is also valuable storage space that can be accessed by folding up the seat. The two seats are equipped with four-point belts.
Another comfortable supervisor's seat is positioned in front of the stretcher's head. This can be moved lengthways, rotated to the left and right, has armrests on the left and right and is integrated with a three-point belt.
There is another seat with a 2-point lap belt on the left side wall in front of the window. This is equipped with a fixed back and an adjustable head cushion.

The interior design concept was planned and implemented in close consultation with the customer. Numerous cabinets and storage compartments ensure quick access to the equipment. The LED interior lights can be switched to trauma lighting.
|
From the outside, many access flaps offer sufficient space to accommodate the medical equipment. So every move is perfect, even in hectic emergency situations.

The space in the driver's cab has also been optimally used. A center console between the driver and front passenger seats serves as storage space. The control of the special signal system and all additional electrical consumers is easy for the driver to see and can be controlled via the control unit on the dashboard.
We wish the emergency services with the new rescue vehicle a safe and safe journey at all times and thank you for the trust!
